Electronics & Wireless Communications Club (EWCC)

EWCC, also known as the Electronics Club, is a group of students with an interest in electronics, programming, wireless communications, and using them to explore and create things. There are actually two clubs: one at Northeast Middle School, and the other at Midland High School.

The club provides an opportunity for participants to get hands-on experience in applications of electronic circuits, computer programs, and wireless communication. It gives members an introduction to technologies and applications they will experience in college and in careers in the STEM fields, and exposes participants to a range of activities, with additional emphasis on combining multiple technologies, all helping to expand their interests into multiple areas.

In addition to having fun building things, students are also introduced to the key underlying concepts, as well as methods for organizing, planning, and cooperating to complete complex projects as a group.

The Electronics Club also provides an opportunity to meet and interact with others with similar interests in the school and in the local community.
