There will be a POTA Palooza this coming Saturday, 10/17, at Hope Township’s Woodside Park, 6066 Middle Road, Hope, MI 48628. This coincides with POTA’s Fall Support Your Local Park event, and the location will be operating in US-6711. Crew will meet at the park between 10 and 11 to begin setting up, with operations likely starting around Noon.
Rumor has it that there will be at least a couple of folks sporting Chameleon MPAS2 Verticals, and Art, K0ACP, will bring his delta loop and possibly his full-size ¼ vertical from Field Day (40, 20, 15, and 10). There will also be a variety of radios. Unlike Field, day all are welcome to bring their own gear, but be mindful that this will be an RF-intensive area and inter-station interference is likely. There will be phone, CW, and FT-8 operations. K0ACP will also be available to originate ARRL Radiograms.
The fun is expect to go until 3:00 or 4:00, and there will be some water for folks. There are also rumors of snacks being available.
